This is the product of choice for customers who machine, fabricate, bend, heat treat, plate, or paint tubing.
Drawn mechanical tubing is most often ordered to either ASTM A-513 D.O.M. Electric Weld, or ASTM A-512 Continuous Weld specifications.
ASTM A-513, Type 5 Electric Resistance Weld D.O.M. (drawn-over-mandrel) tubing is preferred by most buyers of precision, cold drawn, carbon steel mechanical tubing.
ASTM A-512 Continuous Weld tubing provides users a drawn mechanical tube with precise O.D. and I.D. dimensions with a favorable cost benefit. | |
